Morata To Join Manchester United In The Next...

Manchester United will complete the signing of Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata over the next 72 hours after a breakthrough in negotiations was made, according to reports.
The Spaniard’s father and agent Juanma Lopez held a fifty minute meeting with club executives at the Bernabeu on Monday to speed up the deal.

Morata, with the two clubs still haggling over a mutually agreeable fee, had returned to Madrid from his honeymoon last week after growing frustrated at the lack of progress being made.
But according to IBTimes‘ Eduardo Fernandez-Abascal, a breakthrough has finally been made and Morata will join Jose Mourinho’s squad over the next three days.

This has been painful, I know. I feel like I have aged thirty years since news of Morata being ‘close’ to an Old Trafford move broke.
But the fact that Morata’s father and agent were at the Bernabeu for talks, leading into reports of a “breakthrough”, suggests that this deal is not dead in the water, and instead slowly moving in the right direction.

However, Spanish outlets Marca and AS have stressed that Man United and Madrid are still far away from reaching an agreed fee. The La Liga champions are in no rush, but Mourinho, with his side jetting off for pre-season on Sunday, may start to make concessions to push the move through before then.
