West Ham Signs This Former United Striker

West Ham have bolstered their striking power for the new Premier League season with the £16m signing of former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward Javier Hernandez.
The 29-year-old, who scored 59 goals in 156 appearances during a five-year stint at Old Trafford, has penned a three-year contract following his move from German outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
“The Premier League is the best league in the world and when the opportunity came, I was desperate to sign for this club,” said Hernandez. “I’ve had three fantastic years playing in Spain and Germany, but England was really the first big chapter in my career and I am so happy to be back.”
The Hammers have already concluded a season-long loan deal for Manchester City and England goalkeeper Joe Hart and the permanent signings of Marko Arnautovic, for a club record £24m, and Pablo Zabaleta on a free transfer.
