Jose Mourinho, Manchester United’s manager, has revealed that there is one thing that Anthony Martial has and Marcus Rashford doesn’t have, which lead to the win 1-0 over Tottenham.
In a post match interview with the British outlet, Metro, Mourinho said that Rashford and Martial they both play in the same position, but Martial is better between the lines.
Mourinho said: ” They play in the same position,but Martial is more comfortable dropping in between the lines to have the ball and he tries drive the ball, not just to attack space”
Mourinho believes that Martial is better than Rashford without the ball, and that one advantage which made Mourinho sub off Rashford for Martial, who scored the only and winning goal against Tottenham minutes after getting on the pitch.
Mourinho continued:” The best part of Martial’s goal is his movement behind the defenders and without the ball. More importantly, he gave us two more points instead of drawing and going from the match with just a point”
Knowing that Man United won 1-0 over Tottenham and gained three valuable points which lifted Man United to the second position with 23 points, behind the leading team, Man City, with 28 points.
