A teacher who had a "full-blown sexual relationship" with a 15-year-old boy has been jailed for 16 months.

Alice McBrearty, 23, conceded the four-month association with a student she educated at an east London school.

Snaresbrook Crown Court heard McBrearty kissed the adolescent in a classroom, and engaged in sexual relations with him at her folks' home in Wanstead Park, east London.

She conceded to seven tallies of sexual action with a kid while in a place of trust.

'Besotted'

Prosecutors said the relationship started when the educator sent the kid a companion ask for on Facebook.

Counselor Lisa Matthews said the young person, who can't be named, "felt exceptional" and "had all the earmarks of being besotted" with McBrearty.

The court heard the combine met in a few areas, including an inn room McBrearty had booked, and had sexual contact.

Their relationship finished when the kid's dad reached police.

McBrearty put her head in her grasp and cried when she was condemned by Judge Sheelagh Canavan.

The judge depicted her as a "brilliant, smart and skilled young lady, who knew ideal from wrong," yet who had conferred the "grossest break of trust".

'Go wrong'

"You occupied with an out and out sexual association with a 15-year-old tyke," she said.

"I acknowledge he was consenting - what 15-year-old schoolboy would turn down such an appealing offer?

"I acknowledge you genuinely trusted this was an extraordinary sentiment, you were infatuated with him and the other way around, and that age didn't make a difference. Yet, it did.

"You should guard him, to enable him to settle on the correct choices. Rather, you helped him make all the wrong ones."

Emma Shafton, guarding, said her customer, who is not any more an educator, has had "a stupendous go wrong".

"She has been completely disfavored by this," she included.
